The Dutch healthcare system faces major challenges: the increasing pressure in both the volume and complexity of healthcare demand, combined with the growing scarcity of personnel, is already being felt by many care providers. There are also opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of care and the job satisfaction of healthcare professionals, among other things by deploying available technological tools in the right way.
BeBright, Movimento and Visiom are joining forces to support their clients in healthcare in the necessary transformation.
“This is a wonderful first step to ensure that we help our clients in healthcare not only with vision, strategy and innovation but also with implementation,” says Philip Idenburg, managing partner of strategy and innovation firm BeBright. “After all, healthcare transformation does not start with the right care in the right place but time and again it turns out that successful transformation starts with the right woman/man in the right place.”
Movimento, partner in leadership in healthcare and welfare, realizes that new leadership is a crucial prerequisite to achieve the necessary change of course in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders. Astrid Booij Liewers, owner and founder of Movimento: “Through the collaboration with BeBright and Visiom, we can help our clients in healthcare and welfare to reinvent themselves while keeping the store open. That requires transformational leadership within the Executive Board, management, and supervisory roles. In addition, there is a need for a great change capacity, partly to be achieved through the deployment of interim managers and program managers.”
Although innovation and leadership are essential parts of transformation, no organization can make the shift without involving its employees. More than ever, we will have to invest in sustainable employability through learning and training—not only by acquiring new knowledge and skills but also by unlearning old behaviors. “We need every employee for that, and we face the challenge of learning—from management to staff—to deal with both new technology and healthcare innovation as well as with the increasing perceived workload,” says Meijke van Herwijnen, director of Visiom.
Made possible and supported by Delta Equity Partners, the intention is to further expand this partnership with high-quality service providers focused on healthcare in adjacent areas. John Luijs, partner at DELTA Equity Partners: “Our focus is on supporting entrepreneurs in building quality leaders in healthcare and technology. We believe that the collaboration between BeBright, Movimento and Visiom is an important first step in building the highest-quality transformation partner for Dutch healthcare institutions.”
